Wisconsin Council on Recycling
The Wisconsin Council on Recycling, authorized in s. 287.22, Wis. Stats., is a citizens group, appointed by the governor, to advise the governor, Legislature and state agencies on solid waste reduction, recovery and recycling policy. The DNR staffs the council. Each member is appointed for a four-year term expiring on the date of commencement of the next gubernatorial term. Interim members' appointments also expire on that date. Current members include individuals representing industry, business, non-profit organizations and local units of government.

Upcoming meetings
The next meeting of the Council on Recycling will take place on June 5 at 10 a.m. at Sibelco (formerly Strategic Materials, Inc.), 1849 Hobbs Dr., Delavan, WI and virtually via Teams/phone. The agenda with Teams/call-in information can be found below. Following the business meeting, a tour of Sibelco’s glass recycling operations will be provided. Tour participants must wear long pants, work boots/safety shoes (steel-toe not required), safety glasses, high-vis vest and cut-resistant gloves. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own PPE if available; some PPE will also be available on-site. Completion of a visitor access agreement will be required. All Council on Recycling meetings are open to the public. Members of the general public are encouraged to attend and participate.
