Join in the fun by completing the race anywhere between Feb. 20 to 28. Learn more about how to participate virtually here.

Not sure where to go the distance? The Wisconsin State Park System offers 11 sites across the state with groomed trails where skiers can choose different routes to complete one of the standard Birkie races:

  • American Birkebeiner - 43 km (26.7 mi)
  • Kortelopet - 26 km (16.2 mi)
  • Prince Haakon - 14 km (8.7 mi)

Details about the event locations and ski trails are listed below. Most of these state park properties require a vehicle admission sticker and/or state trail pass.
