Badger Corrugating (Badger) is a family and employee-owned company located in La Crosse. Founded on October 3, 1903, it is in its fifth generation of ownership and employs over 225 people. The company started as a fabricator of metal building products such as ventilators, stock tanks, and a variety of products for the heating and metal building trades. Over the past 119 years, Badger has evolved into a full-line distributor of interior and exterior millwork, cabinets, and building products for residential and commercial projects. In addition, Badger Corrugating, has its own fleet of delivery vehicles that run scheduled routes each week in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois.

Badger carries out its production process in different buildings of manufacturing, millwork, warehouse and design center. The company offers "The Badger Customer Experience" which is driven by a collaborative, responsive, and dedicated team. Committed to innovation, Badger, cares about sustainability and is focused on reducing environmental impacts in their community. Building off their success of eliminating stains and paint with solvent and switching over to exclusively using water-based products, Badger is also working to reduce the waste they generate. The company has been a small waste generator for the last few years and is looking for continual improvement to become a very small waste generator.

Environmental Activities

Preserving and protecting the environment is a key aspect of Badger's company culture. The company is committed to continual improvement by reducing the amount of waste they generate and switched to only using water-based products to eliminate solvents in their operations.

The company is pursuing an environmental management system that is certified to the ISO 14001 standard to help increase their efficiency, as well as make their business more sustainable and resilient. In addition to waste reduction, Badger's environmental goals include reducing energy consumption and increasing environmental awareness among employees, so they understand the positive impact of their everyday work. The facility is planning to launch awareness campaigns for their employees to promote air quality protection as well as waste reduction through recycling.
