Things to Do

Explore the exhibits to find out about the area’s glacial legacy and world-renowned landforms or view a short video in the auditorium to learn more about the impact of the last Ice Age’s glaciers on the landscape of Wisconsin.
The center makes a great jumping-off place for exploring the Kettle Moraine State Forest – Northern Unit. Friendly, informative staff can help visitors make the most of their stay at the Northern Unit, a unit of the Ice Age National Scientific Reserve, and become acquainted with the forest’s trails, recreational opportunities, unique geology, history and natural curiosities.
Throughout the year, the forest naturalists present a wide array of fun-filled, hands-on educational and outdoor recreation programs. Programs happen at the Visitor Center and throughout various areas within the forest. The programs are for all interests and age levels.
