The Rule Advisory Committee is advising DNR Remediation and Redevelopment Program staff in developing administrative rule changes affecting Wis. Admin. Code chs. NR 700-799.
The DNR and the Rule Advisory Committee will discuss rule changes relating to continuing obligations under the Scope Statement for Board Order RR-14-23, which proposes developing administrative rules that affect chapters NR 700, 708, 714, 722, 724, 725, 726, 727 and 749 related to definitions, notifications, fees, agreements, reports and procedures for interim action and remedial action continuing obligations for environmental contamination.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Lake Michigan Fisheries Forum will host a public meeting to learn about the DNR’s onboard camera monitoring efforts over the past four years. The public will be able to discuss and comment on the current rules and any proposed changes being considered for the start of the 2026 fishing season.

The RR EAG was formed to address a broad range of issues encompassing both technical and policy topics related to encouraging the investigation, cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated sites.

2025 Annual Monitoring Network Plan Review

Wisconsin is required to submit an annual air monitoring network plan to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that shows the siting and operation of each air monitor meets the requirements of 40 CFR Part 5 8. During this hearing, the DNR will review the changes that occurred previously, present an outline of proposed changes for 2024 and 2025 and take public comment on Wisconsin's 2025 Air Monitoring Network Plan.
