This emergency rule will extend the existing walleye harvest regulation on the Minocqua Chain of Lakes (consisting of Kawaguesaga, Minocqua, Mid, Little Tomahawk and Tomahawk lakes) for the 2021 fishing season. The current regulation expired in April 2020.
The public has the opportunity to testify at the hearing. Registration will take place at the hearing by completing a Hearing Appearance form. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged if you plan to provide spoken comments during the hearing. To pre-register, please download and complete the fillable Hearing Appearance form and send it to Meredith.Penthorn@wisconsin.gov.

Wisconsin Walleye Management Plan Virtual Meeting - Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Sheboygan counties

The department will begin updating Wisconsin's Walleye Management Plan [PDF] through regional public meetings and surveys. The updating process will include a review of the existing plan, an analysis of available data and trends and significant public input on angling and management preferences.

Public Informational Hearing regarding the proposed reissuance of the Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit for the City of Baraboo. WI-0020605-10-0

The Baraboo Wastewater Treatment Facility is located at 1000 Manchester St., Baraboo, Wisconsin, with a discharge to the Baraboo River (north bank of the Baraboo River, approximately 3600 feet upstream of State Highway 113 bridge).
Summary of Proposed Changes include a variance to the water quality standard for Mercury and an addition of new Total Nitrogen Ammonia limits. Fecal coliform monitoring and limits have been replaced with Escherechia coli (E. coli) monitoring and limits. Phosphorus TMDL Limits have been added to the permit to comply with requirements of the Wisconsin River TMDL. Total Nitrogen Monitoring (TKN, N02+N03 and Total N): Quarterly monitoring was added to the proposed permit.
In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency and the Governor's Safer at Home mandate, the DNR will be hosting public hearings via a remote, virtual connection made available to the public via the options below. Virtual hearings will be recorded.
