Water Recreation
Potawatomi State Park
Boating, canoeing and kayaking
Potawatomi State Park is a base for boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, SCUBA diving and water skiing on Green Bay. Over two miles of shoreline provide many scenic views and recreational opportunities. Due to the rocky shoreline, Potawatomi does not have a swimming beach.
There is a boat launch in the park on Sawyer Harbor, a sheltered inlet at the mouth of Sturgeon Bay. Canoe, kayak and paddle boat rentals are available at the park. Concessions.
A universal kayak launch will be installed at Potawatomi State Park in mid-June 2025. This launch features an accessible route of travel, a transfer bench, handrails, and rollers or launch guides to help the vessel glide into the water. An adaptive kayak will also be available for rental from the park.
