Interstate Park

Interstate Park is a popular place for camping, with two campgrounds and a primitive group camp.

Reservations

Camping reservations are required and can be made up to 11 months in advance of your planned date of occupancy. Campers must make a reservation before setting up on any site.

Campgrounds

The north and south campgrounds have a total of 82 family campsites and two primitive, group campsites. The two group sites can accommodate a total of 60 people. The north campground is open May 1 through Oct. 31. The south campground and group camp are open throughout the year.

Shower facilities are available in the north campground for registered campers. There is a dump station across the road from the Ice Age Center.

Winter camping

Winter camping is available at both the group camp and south campground. The group camp is plowed during winter and allows for drive up access to the group camp site. The south campground is available for hike-in, tent camping only from Nov. 15 through April 30. There is parking available outside of the south campground gate. No RV/Camper camping is allowed in the parking lot area permitted to camp RV/Camper camping permitted in this area. No refunds will be issued for RV/motorized campers who make reservations for the south campground from Nov. 15 through April 30. Water is available at the Ice Age Interpretive Center when the center is open.

Firewood

Ice, firewood and other concessions are available Ice Age Interpretive Center during open hours. A firewood vending machine is available for firewood purchase when the Ice Age Interpretive Center is closed.

Don't move firewood! Due to the potential of carrying harmful tree pests and diseases, Wisconsin has restrictions for moving firewood.
