Winter Camping

When conditions and staffing allow, a limited number of sites are plowed during winter at Castle Mound and Pigeon Creek campgrounds.

Water systems (flush toilet buildings, shower buildings, drinking fountains and dump stations) at Wisconsin State Parks and Forests are weather-dependent. They may not be available from fall through spring (approximately Oct. 1 through May 15).

Call the Black River State Forest property office for more information about plowed sites or if you have questions about water system availability during your stay.
