Public hearing on a proposal to designate a state recreation area in Grant County, as required by s. 23.091 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Attendees, including those who wish to provide testimony, may pre-register by sending their name (first and last), organizational affiliation (if any) and if they wish to provide testimony, or fill out and email the hearing appearance slip, to dnrfwpprguidance@wisconsin.gov before 3 p.m. on May 15.
The hearing will begin at 4 p.m. with a brief overview of the proceedings, followed by a presentation about the state recreation area designation proposal and a short overview of master planning and property name proposals. Property name options include Fenley State Recreation Area and Sinnipee Bluffs State Recreation Area and will be contemplated further as part of the regional master planning effort for DNR lands that includes this property.
