Peninsula State Park

Beginning in 2024, Peninsula State Park will be working to improve the mountain bike trail system and other park trails as identified in the property’s approved master plan. For more information and maps of project work, please see the Trail Projects webpage.

Eagle Tower

Eagle Tower is closed for winter. The tower is open seasonally from approx. May 1 to Oct. 31. Weather permitting, the open season may extend into late fall or begin earlier, however, visitors should expect the tower to be closed in the middle of winter. Winter Recreation

Winter recreation conditions as of Jan. 24, 2024:

Sledding Hill: Closed.

Cross-country ski trails: For Peninsula's cross-country ski trails, see Travel Wisconsin's cross-country ski trail conditions [exit DNR].

Snowmobile trails: Closed. Peninsula's snowmobile trails are located in the northern zone of Door County. Please see the Door County (Northern Zone) conditions [exit DNR].

Concessions

Concessions are closed for the season. During the off-season, firewood is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week from a vending machine in the wood yard.
