Property Road Construction Notice
There will be intermittent closures on the main road and parking lots from the south (Fish Creek) entrance to Nelson Point Day Use Area from April 21 to May 8, 2026 due to road repaving projects. Visitors should check the electronic sign board at the intersection of Hwy. 42 for further instruction. The The north (Ephraim) entrance to the park and golf course will remain open. The parking lots for the nature center and golf course will be repaved during this timeframe.
Weather
Eagle Tower
Eagle Tower is open seasonally from approx. May 1 to Oct. 31. Weather permitting, the open season may extend into late fall or begin earlier, however, visitors should expect the tower to be closed in the middle of winter. For more information, please see the Eagle Tower webpage.
Camping
Tennison Bay Campground: Beginning in 2026, all shower buildings in the Tennison Bay Campground will be renovated to upgrade the buildings utilities. The shower buildings will be closed in phases to ensure showers will be available in the campground during the 2026 camping season.
In phase 1, three shower buildings will be closed. The three buildings are nearest campsites 226E, 312E and 425E. Phase 1 work is estimated to take place from April to July 2026. In phase 2, two shower buildings will be closed. The two buildings are nearest campsites 322E and 476E. Phase 2 work is estimated to occur from August to December 2026.
To avoid shutting down this campground for the entire 2026 season, campers should expect some construction noise on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Campsites 222, 226, 333, 360, 425, 426 and 427 will be closed and used as staging areas for these renovations.
Mountain Bike Trails

Beach

Concessions
During the off-season, firewood is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week from a vending machine in the wood yard.
