Peninsula State Park
Property Notice - Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026
There will be intermittent closures on the roads and parking lots at Peninsula State Park between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026 due to the Sister Bay Fall Festival and expected congestion at the park. Closures will take place when parking lots are at full occupancy and will reopen when spaces become available (closures generally last about 30 minutes). If coming during the weekend of Oct. 16-18, 2026, visitors are strongly encouraged to visit before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. on Saturday, or plan their visit for Friday or Sunday.
Only campers and golfers with tee times will be allowed to enter during an active closure (campers reentering the park during a closure must enter via the main Fish Creek entrance). Visitors entering the park during these peak hours should expect longer waiting times to exit back onto Hwy. 42 due to heavy congestion. We appreciate your understanding during this very busy festival weekend.
Tennison Bay Campground
Beginning in 2026, all shower buildings in the Tennison Bay Campground will be renovated to upgrade the buildings utilities. Construction of the three buildings nearest campsites 226E, 312E and 425E is estimated to take place from April to November 2026.
To avoid shutting down this campground for the entire 2026 season, campers should expect some construction noise on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Campsites 222, 226, 333, 360, 425, 426 and 427 will be closed and used as staging areas for these renovations.
The two shower buildings nearest campsites 322E and 476 are open for the 2026 season and will be renovated in spring 2027.
Beach

Eagle Tower
Eagle Tower is open seasonally from approx. May 1 to Oct. 31. Weather permitting, the open season may extend into late fall or begin earlier, however, visitors should expect the tower to be closed in the middle of winter. For more information, please see the Eagle Tower webpage.
