Accessibility

Lake Kegonsa State Park offers several accessible opportunities including accessible campsites, an accessible fishing pier, a boat launch with accessible boarding piers, and two picnic shelters. For visitors interested in activities on the water, the park offers an adaptive tandem kayak available through their rental program. Call the property for more information on the adaptive kayak. Lower Yahara River Trail

At Lake Kegonsa State Park, visitors can access the Lower Yahara River Trail [exit DNR]. This county trail provides a 2.5-mile off-road section between Madison and McFarland and a 1.6-mile section between Fish Camp County Park and Lake Kegonsa State Park. Between McFarland and Fish Camp County Park, a 2-mile on-road route connects the two trail sections. The Lower Yahara River Trail is suitable for bicycles, skaters, strollers, walkers, joggers and wheelchairs. Pets are not allowed on boardwalks and bridges. The trailhead at Lake Kegonsa is next to the White Oak Trail parking lot near the campground entrance.
