Council Grounds State Park

Construction of a new shower/flush toilet building in the family campground at Council Grounds State Park is in progress. Flush toilets, water fountains, the dump station and a limited number of showers are open. All water systems will shut down for the season on Oct. 15, 2024.

Family campground

The family campground is heavily wooded and has 52 campsites, showers and flush toilets. There are 19 sites with electricity. Each site has a table and fire ring. The campground also has a dump station and recycling containers.

Group campground

The outdoor group camp has three sites. Sites A and B accommodate up to 3 wheeled campers and 32 people each. Site C accommodates 1 wheeled camper and 22 people. All group campsites at the park have electricity.

Firewood

The Friends of Council Grounds sell firewood during camping season. Firewood can be purchased at the park office. All firewood is harvested sustainably from the park and work is done by Friends of Council Grounds volunteers.

Don't move firewood! Due to the potential of carrying harmful tree pests and diseases, Wisconsin has restrictions for moving firewood.
