Getting DNR Help with eCMAR problems
Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR)
Here are some steps to take before contacting the DNR for help.
- Always try the
Section Instructions
link on the form. Have patience; it could take a while to retrieve theHelp
section information on your computer screen. TheHelp
information is formatted in another software program; and takes a moment to download. - Use the Helpful Hints and Information to look up topical instructions that may help you solve your problem.
Use the Report Issue
button
- If the
section information
doesn't solve your problem, use theReport Issue
button in the eCMAR form first. Clicking on theContact Us
button and filling out the feedback form generates an email that the department can direct to the DNR staff who specialize in the specific problem you are having. - Use the phone as a last resort.
Phone tag
can be frustrating, especially during a time when eCMAR use is heavy and we are responding to numerous calls. Staff may not be able to return your call immediately. If you choose to phone, it is helpful if you are on the computer while you are calling to ensure the instructions you receive over the phone correct your problem.
Contact the eCMAR coordinator
If you have the following types of problems, contact Amy Garbe, P.E., CMAR program coordinator, Water Quality Program.

message when you try to access your eCMAR. Suggestion: Try clicking theRefresh
button on your toolbar, close down, open up, try again. If that doesn't work, give the department a call.502
Bad gateway error message. This is a programming problem.
Contact your local DNR representative
Contact staff at the local DNR office, usually the DNR basin engineer, for these problems:
- You will not have your eCMAR finished by the due date and you need an extension on the deadline to submit your eCMAR.
- There is incorrect data or missing data in the pre-populated sections of your eCMAR form. The DNR Basin Engineer will make the decision if a section or data needs to be altered, removed or added.
See Helpful Hints and Information for more guidance on how to fix common problems.
