The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Root-Pike Watershed Initiative Network (WIN) have announced the start of a wetland restoration project in the Village of Mt. Pleasant. The project, located east of Meachem Road and Sanders Park, will restore 60 acres of wetlands to near pre-settlement conditions as part of a DNR grant program.

The Nine Springs Valley Interceptor Project may result in the "incidental taking" of a rare moth under a permit the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) proposes to issue for the project. Incidental take refers to the unintentional loss of individual endangered or threatened animals or plants that do not put the species' overall population at risk.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will suspend phone ordering of 2020 annual vehicle admission stickers starting Monday, Oct. 26. Online and property-based sales of 2020 annual stickers continue to be available.

The Village of Maiden Rock is an applicant for funding through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program (SDWLP) to address deficiencies in its public drinking water system. The project will create a redundant second water supply source labeled New Well #2.
