Gov. Evers Announces NOAA Designation For Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary Moves Forward

MADISON, Wis. – Gov. Tony Evers today announced that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will publish the final rule for the designation of the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary on June 23, 2021. The designation will take effect following a review by the governor and Congress over a 45-day period of continuous session of Congress.

Art Exhibit Underway At Lakeshore State Park In Milwaukee

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the installation is complete on the first-ever temporary public art project at Lakeshore State Park in Milwaukee. The flock of swallow sculptures titled "REbirth" is sponsored by the Milwaukee-based Black Box Fund in partnership with the Friends of Lakeshore State Park (FLSP).

DNR Seeking Public Comments On Green Tier Application For Brady Corp.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking public comments on a proposed Green Tier application for Brady Corporation’s (Brady Corp.) Glendale, Wisconsin facility. If accepted, the application would allow Brady Corp. to join Tier 1 of the Green Tier program. The proposal covers activities at their manufacturing facility located on 2230 W. Florist Ave in Glendale.

Wolf Harvest Advisory Committee Meeting June 22

Wisconsin’s Wolf Harvest Advisory Committee will convene Tuesday, June 22, to provide input on the fall 2021 wolf harvest season. The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has prepared a preliminary wolf population estimate to inform the discussion and aid committee members as they provide input on the upcoming wolf harvest season to open Nov. 6.

DNR Seeking Public Comment For Environmental Review Of City Of Milwaukee Safe Drinking Water Loan Program Project

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the City of Milwaukee is an applicant for funding through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program (SDWLP) to address deficiencies in its public drinking water system. The project includes the replacement of water mains throughout the City of Milwaukee.
