Celebrate Wisconsin’s Working Forests During Forest Products Week

Gov. Tony Evers has proclaimed the third week in October (Oct. 18-24, 2020) as Forest Products Week. The week recognizes the people who work in and care for our forests, the businesses that create forest products and the many ways forest products contribute to our lives.

Wisconsin Natural Resources Board Virtual Meeting Oct. 28

Due to public health advisories, the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board (NRB) will meet virtually for the October board meeting to consider donations, the adoption of Emergency Board Order WA-06-20(E) which was postponed from the Aug. 12, 2020 meeting, preliminary public hearing and comment period authorization, scope statements and land items.

State Hunter Education Now Available Online For All Ages

As of Oct. 15, students of all ages can earn their Wisconsin hunter education safety certification through a single, online-only hunter education course under a temporary change approved by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
