MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking public comment on the proposed Green Tier application for DRM Industries Corporation (DRM) in Lake Delton. If accepted, the proposal would allow the facility to join Tier 1 of the Green Tier program.

The DNR’s Green Tier program provides credible recognition to organizations committed to going above and beyond compliance. Tier 1 is designed to encourage, recognize and reward companies that are committed to superior environmental performance. Applicants must have a good environmental record and agree to implement an environmental management system, which will be used to set goals, assess their progress and identify opportunities for improvement.

DRM was founded in 1970. Five years later, the manufacturer expanded to include machining in their services. Today, DRM is a 100% employee-owned company that encompasses machining, fabrication, inspection and packaging.

DRM prides itself on developing innovative solutions to support its customers' needs and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. Committed to innovation, DRM cares about sustainability and is focused on reducing environmental impacts in its community by increasing energy efficiency and metal recycling in its operations.

DRM Industries is committed to improving our environmental performance. We are excited to partner with the DNR and join Green Tier. Our goal is to improve efficiency, increase visibility to our efforts and obtain approval for our ISO 14001 certification," said Ethan Richardson, quality assurance manager for DRM.
