Archery in the Parks at Lake Kegonsa

Give archery a shot! Archery in the Parks is a fun, beginner-friendly program designed to introduce participants to the sport of archery. Learn Range safety, proper shooting techniques and gain hands-on experience with archery equipment while enjoying the outdoors. No experience is necessary, and all equipment is provided. Participants will sign up for one of several 30-minute sessions offered throughout the event. Each session is led by trained instructors and provides hands-on instruction in a safe and welcoming environment, making it a great opportunity for first-time archers and those looking to sharpen their skills. 


Please contact alexandra.mentele@wisconsin.gov or stop in at the Lake Kegonsa Park Office to sign up for your time slot! Registration on GoWild is recommended. 

To register, go to GoWild and log in or create an account if you don’t already have one. Click on the Manage Safety Education tab, click “Search for Class” and select "Learn to Hunt” as Course Type and “Dane” as County in the drop-down tabs. Register with your Customer ID number. 

Interested participants with limited mobility are asked to contact the event organizer about accessibility options in advance of the event.
