Learn to Process Deer
Description
Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Cost: $25 per person
This hands-on hunting skills class is designed for hunters—or anyone curious about hunting—who want to learn how to process a white-tailed deer for food. Participants will learn the full process, including hanging, skinning, quartering, and breaking the deer down into primal cuts.
The class will also cover recommended cooking methods for each cut and safe handling guidelines related to Chronic Wasting Disease. All processing and packaging supplies will be provided.
Participants who wish to take venison home should bring a cooler.
To register, go to Go Wild and log in or create an account if you don't already have one. Click on the Manage Safety Education tab, click "Search for Class, and select "Learn to Hunt" as Course Type and "Milwaukee" as County in the drop-down tabs. Register with your Customer ID number.
Interested participants with limited mobility are asked to contact the event organizer about accessibility options in advance of the event.
