Learn to Cook Wild Game - Venison

-

Description

This four-class series is designed for women who would like to learn how to clean and cook the most common types of game in Wisconsin: squirrel/rabbit, gamebirds, venison and wild turkey. Each class begins with a cleaning demonstration of the game in question and a chance for students to try their hand at cleaning. We will then move to the kitchen to cook the game, often with one simple and one more elevated recipe. At the end of class, we will share our meal and reflect on what we have learned.

Meals include dish-appropriate wines chosen by Chef John and Chef Megan. John Motoviloff is Pheasant Forever’s R3 and outreach coordinator for Wisconsin, a cookbook author and an experienced outdoorsman. Megan Salazar is an avid hunter, bird dog owner and former sommelier.

The cost for this class is $25 (cash or check made payable to "Pheasants Forever Wisconsin") due at the beginning of the class.

Additional class in series:

  • April 22: Wild Turkey
