Learn To Fish: Milwaukee County
Description
Bundle up the kids and bring them to Greenfield Park for a free ice fishing clinic hosted by the Milwaukee Great Lakes Sports Fishermen. Clinics will begin every hour starting at 9 a.m., with the last one starting at 2 p.m.
Club members will teach kids how to ice fish safely. No registration is required; however, advanced notice is appreciated if you plan to bring a group larger than 20.
These clinics are held on formally designated urban waters, which means that by state statute (s. 29.053 (2) (a), Stats), they are reserved for kids ages 15 and younger and people with certain disabilities. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Remember to dress for the weather, and bring your own fishing equipment if you can. There will be fishing equipment available, but supplies are limited.
