NR 140, relating to numeric standards to minimize the concentration of polluting substances for certain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in groundwater based on the 2025 Department of Health Services recommendations.

This is a public hearing on an emergency rule EmR2501 (FH-18-24(E)) to amend ch. NR 20, relating to Minocqua Chain walleye harvest regulations.

The public has the opportunity to testify at the hearing. Registration will take place at the hearing by completing a Hearing Appearance Form. Pre-registration is also available and is strongly encouraged if you plan to provide spoken comments during the hearing. To register, please download and complete the fillable Hearing Appearance Form and email the completed form as an attachment to Kari Lee-Zimmermann at Kari.LeeZimmermann@wisconsin.gov.

The Drinking Water and Groundwater Program will host an information-sharing meeting on the chapter NR 809 PFAS rule revisions, CCR revisions and some technical edits. The scope statements were recently approved, and details will be provided on the economic impact analysis, requirements and additional technical edits to the chapter.
