This is an informational hearing on the intent to reissue a Wisconsin pollutant discharge elimination system permit in East Troy.

The East Troy Wastewater Treatment Facility is located at 2104 Young St., East Troy, WI 53210-0166 and discharges to Perennial Stream ‘B’ a tributary to Honey Creek (Sugar and Honey Creek Watershed, Fox (IL) River Basin) in Walworth County. The Village of East Troy operates a 0.81 MGD (annual average design flow) activated sludge wastewater treatment facility and serves approximately 5,100 people and at least one industry. The proposed permit includes a variance to the water quality standards for Chloride.

Wisconsin CWD Response Plan Review Committee Meeting 4

Details 

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has formed a committee made up of stakeholder organizations, tribal partners and other governmental organizations to conduct the second of three five-year reviews of the state’s 15-year chronic wasting disease (CWD) response plan.

Over the course of upcoming meetings, the committee will develop and provide input on the plan’s implementation and actions to consider as it completes this second five-year review. 

A panel of technical experts will attend meetings to support the committee’s work. All meetings will be open to the public, and recordings will be posted to the DNR website. Cherokee Country Club Notice of Public Hearing for Waterway and Wetland Permit Applications

Details 

The DNR will hold a public hearing for proposed waterway and wetland permit applications for the Cherokee Country Club, located in the Town of Westport, Dane County.

The project involves a complete reconstruction and redesign of the Cherokee Golf Course. The course will be redesigned, including lengthening holes, widening playing surfaces, and expanding of ponds connected to a tributary of the Yahara River. These activities will result in 2.13 acres of wetland impact by either filling or excavation. 

The department has made a tentative determination that it will issue the permit or contract for the proposed activity.

The Off-Highway Motorcycle Council provides advice and makes recommendations to the department of natural resources, the department of transportation, the governor, and the legislature on all matters relating to off-highway motorcycle trails, including matters relating to activities conducted on off-highway motorcycle trails and by off-highway motorcycle users, and makes recommendations to the department of natural resources with regard to requests for funding. 

The Off-Highway Motorcycle Council will meet to review updated information on projects previously awarded grants.  The public will be invited to join the meeting via Zoom or in person.  The Zoom meeting link, agenda, and other meeting materials are available on the OHM Council webpage.
