NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board will tour and/or receive presentations at the following locations (NOTE: The public must preregister with Board Liaison to attend scheduled tours. Registration information is located on the last page of the agenda. Exact tour schedule is subject to change. No Board action will be taken.). 1) At approximately noon, the Board will arrive at the Crystal Lake Campground – Nature Center (Shelter Area), 3237 Crystal Lake Road, Sayner, WI, for a welcome and at approximately 12:30 p.m., presentations on Recreational Opportunities: Overview of the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest (NHAL), Recreational Opportunities Analysis, Bike Trails on the NHAL – Connecting Communities with Campgrounds, and the Good Neighbor Authority. 2) At approximately 2:25 p.m., the Board will arrive at Powell Marsh Overlook, 14035 Powell Road, Manitowish Waters, WI, for a review of the Powell Marsh Wildlife Area Master Plan. 3) At approximately 2:55 p.m., the Board will arrive at the Manitowish Waters Town Hall, 5733 Airport Road, Manitowish Waters, WI, for a presentation on the Dead Pike Lake Management Plan Status: Introductions, Project Status Overview, and Informational Discussion. PowerPoint; Video 4) At approximately 4:30 p.m., the Board will arrive at the Lac du Flambeau (LDF) Fish Hatchery, 2500 Highway 47 N, Lac du Flambeau, WI, for a presentation on Walleye Fisheries Management: Walleye Initiative to include Walleye Stocking Update, Grant Funds – Upgrading Fish Hatcheries, and DNR and Tribal Collaboration; Minocqua Chain – Zero Bag Limit to include Fisheries Background and Collaborative Enforcement; and Research Projects Overview. 7) At approximately 5:00 p.m., the Board will arrive at Erie Street Plaza, 624 E. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Lake of the Torches Resort & Casino, 510 Old Abe Road, Lac du Flambeau, WI, the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board will gather with tribal leaders. Agenda: performance by youth drummers during meet and greet; presentation on summer tribal youth grant program to follow dinner. No action will be taken.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board meeting will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the Waters of Minocqua, 8116 U.S. Highway 51 South, Minocqua, WI, in the Event Center on the main floor. The Board will act on items 1-2 and 5-6 as listed on the Agenda.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Waters of Minocqua, 8116 U.S. Highway 51 South, Minocqua, WI, the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board may convene in closed session under the authority of s.19.85(1)(g) Wisconsin Statutes to confer with legal counsel regarding ongoing litigation (Dairy Business Association, Inc. v. Wisconsin DNR).

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that matters concerning natural resource issues or the Department's program responsibilities or operations specified in the Wisconsin Statutes, which arise after publication of this agenda may be added to the agenda and publicly noticed no less than two hours before the scheduled board meeting, if the Board Chair determines that the matter is urgent.

      1. The estate of George Schmidt, Jr. will donate $140,000 to be used to fund inland sturgeon related habitat work in the Fisheries Management program
      2. The Friends of Devil's Lake and Devil's Lake Concession Corporation will donate, valued at an estimated $105,000, a completed boat/recreation activity reservation facility that will also include private accessible changing stalls and serve as an off- season boat and boat accessory storage.
      3. The Andrew F. Bell & Edith M. Bell Charitable Trust will donate $34,754 to be used to provide $17,377 for continued support of endangered resources priorities and will provide $17,377 to fund activities associated with wetland habitat
      4. The Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin will donate $20,000 from the Cherish Wisconsin Outdoors Fund to be to support habitat management at two State Natural Areas
