Little Falls Lake

Little Falls Lake is back to full pool. Bass and panfish have been restocked for the past several years, however, it will take a couple of years for stocked fish to grow. Trout fishing is currently closed. Catch and release trout season runs from Jan. 1 through through May 1, 2026.

Trails

All hiking trails are open. Trail conditions vary.

Mountain bike trails are open, however, temporary closures may occur due to weather or construction. Please stay off closed trails. Mountain bike trails are closed Nov. 15 through Dec. 15.

The Friends are continuing construction on a new mountain bike trail system in the park. Construction will take several years to complete. About 24 miles of trail are open. Trail conditions and more information is available on the Friends of Willow River and Kinnickinnic State Parks Mountain Bike Club website. Contact the park office if you have an interest in volunteering.

Camping and Seasonal Water Systems

Camping is open, however all water systems in the park are shut down for the season. All flush restrooms and showers are closed. Drinking water is available at the park maintenance building and vault toilets are available throughout the park. 

The dump station is open until mid-November, however, there is no running water to flush tanks. 

Beginning, Nov. 1, 2025 the 100, 300 and Group campgrounds will close for the season. Limited camping will be available in the 200 Campground. All campgrounds close to vehicle traffic mid-November, depending on weather.

Firewood is available at the park office during open hours.

Hunting

Hunting in the park will open on Nov. 15, 2025. For more information, please see:

Park Office

The park office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If the office is closed when you arrive, vehicle admission passes can be purchased online.
