Observation Tower

The observation tower at Potawatomi State Park is closed due to significant wood decay. The DNR continues to consider the future of the tower and is committed to finding a path forward.

Hiking, biking and pets are not allowed on ski trails when they are snow-covered.

Park water systems are closed for the season. Drinking water is available year-round at the well house next to the campground shelter. Campsites 1-31 are open for year-round camping, and the driveways at campsites 24, 26 and 28 are plowed for winter use. Reservations can be made online through the camping reservation system or by calling 888-947-2757.

The Daisy Field campground will be closed to reservations from March 1 through May 25, 2023 and from Oct. 9 through Dec. 31, 2023 for a construction project. Some sites may open on certain dates, pending the construction schedule. Visitors may use the "Notify Me" feature in the camping reservation system to receive alerts if sites become available.

Park Store

The park store is closed for the season.

Office hours and admission stickers

Winter office hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., except that the office will be closed on Dec. 24, 25, 31, 2022 and Jan. 1, 2023. The office may also be closed at other times for snowplowing or other maintenance needs.  

Annual park admission stickers can be purchased online or with cash or check at the self-registration station outside the park office when the office is closed.
