Winter Recreation
Interstate Park
Interstate has about 12.5 miles (20 km) of winter recreation trails available for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or hiking. The Skyline Trail is groomed for classic cross county skiing. A state trail pass will be required for all skiers ages 16 and older, starting Jan 1, 2026.
The bluff trails are open for winter hiking but are not maintained for winter use. Hikers can expect slippery and icy conditions and should use caution if hiking these trails in winter.
The park does not monitor ice conditions on Lake O' the Dalles or the St. Croix River.
