2026 Road and Trail Construction Project

Beginning Monday, June 22, 2026, construction on the entrance road, parking lot and the Blue and Orange trails will be taking place at Havenwoods State Forest. Portions of the project areas may be closed during this time. Construction work is tentatively scheduled through early August 2026.

Forest and Nature Center: The forest property and nature center will remain open during construction.

Entrance Road and Parking Lot: Portions of the entrance road and the parking lot near the nature center may be closed, or reduced to single-lane traffic during the construction timeframe. During construction, parking may be limited, roads may have a rougher surface or alternative routes may be posted. Please follow signage and keep out of any areas posted as closed.

Trails: The Blue Trail and the paved portion of the Orange Trail will be getting upgrades and may be closed for portions of the construction timeframe. Please keep out of all areas posted as closed. All other trails at the forest will remain open.
