The north segment of the Doughboys Trail (Devil's Gate bridge to the accessible parking lot) will be closed Monday-Friday, Oct. 12-16, 2026 due to repairs on the Tyler Forks Bridge. The south segment of the Doughboys Trail will remain open and you may still view the waterfalls and cascades from the south segment. There will still be access to the backpack campsite on the north side of the Bad River. The North Country National Scenic Trail will be temporarily rerouted across the Devil's Gate bridge during this time. Please follow posted signs and keep out of all closed areas.
The CCC 692 Trail at Copper Falls State Park is temporarily closed due to a timber harvest, however there is still access to the observation tower and the waterfalls.
The Loon Lake flush toilet building will close for the season on Sept. 21, 2026, due to construction near the building. Loon Lake beach and Red Granite Falls Trail access will be available.
