Strawberry Creek Weir Report
Fishing Wisconsin
The following information is the latest Chinook salmon processing information for our facility on Strawberry Creek. We will post new information to this site every TUESDAY at 4:00 pm from October through early November. Depending on water conditions and number of fish in the weir, fish are usually processed on Mondays and Thursdays.
In addition, you can read the latest fishing report on our Lake Michigan Outdoor Report page.
Strawberry Creek Weir Report for October 18, 2019
Three Chinook salmon processing days occurred this fall at Strawberry Creek on October 2, 9, and 18. Numbers of Chinook salmon processed for data each day respectively were 576, 850, and 839 (total 2,265). The Strawberry Creek facility was operated intermittently this year due to high water (e.g., access for fish to enter the pond was occasionally closed; fish were processed just once per week and only for data, not eggs). Chinook eggs were instead collected in Kewaunee and Racine, to collectively meet hatchery egg collection goals. October 18 was the last salmon processing day at Strawberry Creek for this season.
