Strawberry Creek Weir Facility

The following information is the latest Chinook salmon processing information for our facility on Strawberry Creek. We will post new information to this site every TUESDAY at 4 p.m. from October through early November. Depending on water conditions and the number of fish in the weir, fish are usually processed on Mondays and Thursdays.

Strawberry Creek Weir Report Oct. 9, 2025

The third salmon processing day at Strawberry Creek took place on October 9. Three salmon processing days occurred at Strawberry Creek this fall on Oct. 2, 6 and 9. The numbers of Chinook salmon processed for data and removed from the pond each day, respectively, were 1,486, 505, and 1,424 (total: 3,415). So far, 342 female Chinook salmon have been spawned and over 1,700,00 eggs have been collected. The overall egg take goal for 2025 is 3.5 million eggs. An additional 10 Coho salmon were processed for data and removed from the pond. This work at Strawberry Creek typically occurs on Mondays and Thursdays starting around 9:00 a.m., during the first 3 weeks of October.
