Drinking Water and Groundwater MyWisconsin ID
The Wisconsin Access Management System (WAMS) login system used to submit drinking water and water use reports will be transitioning to a new Department of Administration system called MyWisconsin ID.
Any users who have a WAMS account will be required to create a MyWisconsin ID user ID and password to prepare for the transition.

If you currently have a WAMS account, you must self-register for a MyWisconsin ID by following the steps on the DET MyWisconsin ID Self Registration webpage.
- If you already created a MyWisconsin ID through another state agency (for example, the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection), you do not need to create another.
- A recorded video on how to create a MyWisconsin ID is available for anyone needing to create an account.
Linking Owner/Operator Number to MyWisconsin ID
- After logging in to the Water Use System, users will connect their MyWisconsin ID account to their existing Owner/Operator Number.
- Users without an Owner/Operator number will be directed to contact the Wisconsin DNR Water Use Section.
