DNR To Host Public Meeting To Discuss Potential Trout Stream Regulation Changes In Pierce And St. Croix Counties

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host a public meeting to discuss potential trout stream regulation changes on several streams in Pierce and St. Croix counties. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the River Falls Public Library Community Room, located at 140 Union Street in River Falls. Those wishing to attend virtually can join via Zoom or by phone.

DNR Seeking Public Comment For Environmental Review Of Ashland, Dresser, Ladysmith And Spooner Safe Drinking Water Loan Program Projects

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced the cities of Ashland, Ladysmith, Spooner and the village of Dresser are applicants for funding through the Safe Drinking Water Loan Program (SDWLP) to improve their public drinking water systems.

New Baiting And Feeding Bans For Washburn, Barron, Rusk And Sawyer Counties Effective Oct. 5

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) was recently notified by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) that a farm-raised deer on a deer farm in Washburn County tested positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD). This positive result is within 10 miles of the Barron, Rusk and Sawyer county borders, so new baiting and feeding bans will go into effect in Washburn, Barron, Rusk and Sawyer counties on Oct. 5, 2023.
