Learn About Walleye Management In Florence And Forest Counties On Jan. 14
The first meeting of a nine-part series focused on fisheries management in northeast Wisconsin will take place on Jan. 14.

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites the public to join DNR staff on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Wild Rivers Interpretive Center in Florence, Wisconsin, for the first meeting in a nine-part series focused on fisheries management in northeast Wisconsin.
As part of a Spotlight Series that highlights various fisheries in Green Bay, the Winnebago System and inland waters in the northeast, this meeting will focus on walleye management, including the techniques used to create a quality walleye fishery in Florence and Forest counties.
During this meeting, DNR staff members will walk through the major walleye populations in these two counties and discuss how each population is doing, what management strategies are being used and what the future looks like for these fisheries.
The meeting will be held in person and virtually via Microsoft Teams from 6 to 8 p.m.
