Fall Candlelight Hike

Description

Join us for a candlelight hike on the Woodland Trail at Governor Nelson State Park. The trail snakes through 1.2 miles of terrain, with moderate hills and uneven surfaces. About halfway through the hike, the Friends of Governor Nelson will have s'mores at the Hogan Building. The hike will conclude at the beach area around a bonfire with hot chocolate.

A vehicle admission sticker is required and can be purchased from the office on arrival.

This event is recommended for all abilities and ages, but pets are not allowed at the beach picnic area.

This event will happen in any weather, rain, shine or snow. Please dress accordingly.

Consider bringing a flashlight, water bottle, snacks and proper footwear.

No experience is necessary.
