Learn to Hunt Pheasants - Ashland/Bayfield County

Description

All novice hunters aged 17 and under who have passed Hunter Safety in the last two years are eligible to participate in this free event (limited to 25 students).

There will be a mandatory Hunter Safety refresher course Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m. at White River Ag Products (58330 Nelson Rd., Mason). Dinner will be provided.

The Saturday class and hunt will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with trap shooting practice. Participants will be assisted by a mentor and hunt for pheasants with a trained dog and handler.

Some shotguns will be available for use; however, participants are encouraged to bring personal shotguns of 12 or 20 gauges only. Ammunition will be provided.

The hunt will be at White River Ag Products (58330 Nelson Rd, Mason).
