Learn To Hunt Deer (Crossbow)

-

Description

This is a joint event hosted by Color in the Outdoors and Pheasants Forever designed to give interested adults the skills necessary to hunt deer using a crossbow.

The first meeting on Sept. 24 (4-7 p.m.) will be focused on teaching crossbow shooting. For the second portion of the class (Oct. 11 and 12), novices will have the opportunity to hunt deer using a crossbow in the company of an experienced mentor. Basic meals will be provided, as well as crossbows, bolts, blinds and deer processing equipment. Students will have the option of camping at the Wild Oaks Preserve near New Glarus or securing their own lodging.

Event times appear as Sept. 24 through Oct 12., but please note that the class does NOT run continuously between these dates. The skills class takes place on Sept. 24 and the hunt takes place on Oct.11 and 12. You must have earned your hunter education certification to participate in this course.
