Horicon Marsh Learn To Hunt Waterfowl

Horicon National Wildlife Refuge is offering novice hunters ages 10-15 an opportunity to participate in a mentored waterfowl hunt at Horicon Marsh.
Applicants are not required to have completed hunter education certification to participate in a mentored Learn to Hunt program but must obtain a DNR customer number before the Learn to Hunt classroom session. After notification of selection for this year’s hunt, novice hunters must complete a four-hour orientation and training class before their drawn hunt date. The class covers waterfowl identification, gun safety, water safety, duck calling, range estimation and hunting tactics as well as environmental stewardship.
