Smokey Bear's 80th Birthday Party

It's Smokey the Bear's 80th Birthday! Join Interstate Park in celebrating this conservation icon's big day with plenty of activities and events.

Come to the Skyline Shelter to enjoy snow cones, popcorn, and kid’s activities and games, complete with Smokey themed prizes! Smokey himself will be making an appearance, so be sure to get a picture with him! From 2-4 p.m., stop by to talk to a Forest Ranger about how they fight wildfires and learn about the equipment they use.

At 2:30 p.m., the park naturalist will be leading a Campfire Safety 101 program where you can learn how to safely start a campfire and make a s'more! From 5:15-6 p.m., end the party by learning the story of Smokey the Bear through campfire trivia. Smokey’s birthday party and all activities and food are free while supplies last with a Wisconsin state park vehicle admission sticker.
