Rare Plant Monitoring Program Volunteer Training

-

Description

The Wisconsin Rare Plant Monitoring Program allows plant enthusiasts to conduct surveys for rare plants around the state. These volunteers collect information to assess plant population trends during state and national conservation efforts.

Program participants are trained in surveying techniques, including accurately estimating large plant populations, assessing habitat conditions and using GPS coordinates to locate and mark rare plant populations.

Plant identification training will not be provided.
