2024 Horicon Marsh Paddle

On Saturday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to noon, you can join fellow outdoor enthusiasts to paddle through the southern portion of the Horicon Marsh State Wildlife Area. DNR wildlife staff will be on hand to help guide your paddle while educating about marsh wildlife as you travel a 3-mile loop through the Horicon Marsh and the Rock River.
This paddle will be a shortened route launching and landing at Nebraska Street Boat Landing (One Mile Island Trail Head). (23611160622000, Horicon, WI 53032)
A few key details:
- NO registration needed
- New route will be approximately 3 miles long. (about 2 hours)
- Launch times will be from 8 – 10 a.m. only
- DNR staff will still be out on the water to guide paddlers and they will come off the water at noon
- No equipment is provided
- No shuttle bus will be needed
The DNR wildlife staff will briefly cover topics related to the marsh’s wildlife and will be available for any other questions. This is a great opportunity to talk with experts and learn from some of the people that work at the marsh every day.
