Bee Hunt Hike

-

Description

Join our naturalist to search for bumblebees and other types of bees and learn about their important role in pollination and supporting our prairies.

Did you know that for most species, only queen bumblebees hibernate and survive over the winter? In the spring, they emerge and lay eggs to hatch new worker bees, or female “non-queen” bees, while drones, or male bees, will not be born until closer to fall.

All ages and abilities are welcome!

Meet at the north entrance, near Discovery World.
