Fish From A Kayak: Dane County

Description

Basic instructions on how to safely enter a kayak and fish from it are provided. If the fish are biting, we’ll learn to clean and cook those that are legal to keep. Wearing a life jacket will be mandatory while on the water and one will be provided. Paddlers are welcome to bring their own if it meets safety standards. Ages 12 and older. Children ages 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult. Fishing licenses are required for anglers ages 16 and older. Get yours in advance on Go Wild. Participants must sign a waiver for themselves and their children or children who are under their legal guardianship or supervision. Important: Registration required — to register, go to gowild.wi.gov and log in or create an account if you don’t already have one. Click on the Manage Safety Education tab, click “Search for Class” and select "Learn to Fish” as Course Type and “Dane” as County in the drop-down tabs. Register with your Customer ID number. Note that if the class is full, it will no longer appear in Go Wild. This class is offered on three dates with two opportunities each day. Sign up for only one session! This sign-up is for day 1, group 2.
