Field To Fork - Turkey: Richland County
Description
The National Deer Association, Pheasants Forever, and Backcountry Hunters and Anglers are teaming up for a late-season Field to Fork – Turkey course on May 19, 24 and 25.
This will be a private land, Richland County turkey hunt, with an in-person educational field day the weekend before the hunt. This course is free to sign up for, so the spots will fill quickly! Some beds will be available- please don't hesitate to let us know if you need one; otherwise, bringing a tent to sleep in for the night is also allowed.
This event is geared towards novice turkey hunters. No hunting or firearm handling experience is required. However, Hunter Safety Certification is required to register. For adults age 18 or older, Hunter Safety can be completed online in 4-6 hours. Let us know if you need a hand signing up for an online course.
Registration deadline is May 16. To register, visit Go Wild and log in or create an account if you don’t already have one. Next, see the "Manage Safety Education" tab, then “Search for Class,” and select "Learn to Hunt” as the Course Type and “Richland” as the county in the drop-down table. Register with your Customer ID number.
If the class is full, it will no longer appear in Go Wild. In this case, please email Emily.Iehl@wisconsin.gov to be added to the waitlist or for any help with registering.
Please do not hesitate to contact Brock Rosenkranz with any questions about the course.
