Invasive Species Awareness Day

-

Description

Celebrate Invasive Species Awareness Day at Wisconsin's state parks.

Invasive plants are damaging Wisconsin's landscapes, but the DNR is working with citizens and partners to slow their spread. Through educational outreach, strategic planning and active management, we are protecting our environment from invasive species.

Join us for a short presentation on invasive species impacting the forest, and then help us cut and haul some invasive woody vegetation.

Participants are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle, lunch, insect repellant, sunscreen, sturdy footwear and gloves. Hand tools will be provided. No experience is necessary to participate.

Please meet at the Henry S. Reuss Ice Age Visitor Center, N2875 WI-67, Campbellsport, WI 53010
