Newport Bird Hike

-

Description

Join Deb Ford to identify birds that are currently visiting Newport’s feeding station and the grassland and forest edges along the Monarch Trail. Breeding birds will be mostly back on territory; there will still be a few migrants moving through. We never know what we will find.

Deb will also have some resource suggestions to help locate and identify birds wherever you want to go. Geared toward beginner and intermediate birders. Please bring binoculars and comfortable walking shoes. No pets, please.

Suitable for children age 12+. Meet at the Nature Center (Lot 1). Rain/strong winds will limit the walking portion. Deb will be leading four hikes in May. Join us!

This hike starts at 7 a.m.
