Field to Fork: Public Land Turkey Hunt

The Wisconsin Chapters of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and the National Deer Association are partnering up to bring 10 adult participants to the Kickapoo Valley Reserve for a Field to Fork Course focusing on turkey hunting public land in southwest Wisconsin.

The course will consist of a virtual class that will be held on April 3 from 7-9 p.m. with a hunt weekend that will take place on April 13-14 (coinciding with the Wisconsin Youth Turkey Season).

A large group campsite is reserved, and everyone is welcome to stay and camp. There are also many Airbnb’s in the area.

We will cover turkey biology, sign, habitat, calling, firearm safety, shot placement and butchering. Each participant must hold a valid Hunter’s Education Certificate.
