Leafless Looking – Winter Tree ID

-

Description

Join us at the MacKenzie Center to uncover the ‘mys-tree’ of how to identify trees in the winter. MacKenzie naturalist will lead an hour-long guided nature hike where we will learn how to identify leafless trees, probably hear many ‘acorny’ jokes, and learn how to use dichotomous keys if we get ‘stumped’.

Naturalists will lead the 1st hike beginning at 10 a.m. and the 2nd hike will begin at 11 a.m.

Please meet naturalist promptly in the Badger Den Parking lot to begin the hike. Please dress for the weather and bring any hiking equipment you may need. Trails may be muddy, but it’ll ‘fir’ sure be a great time!

Please contact AbigailR.Janey@wisconsin.gov or call 608-635-8112 with any questions.
