Bees, Birds, Blooms And Your Native Garden Workshop
Description
Pollinator gardening is rising as “wild” gardens have become a trend, and birdwatching has grown exponentially over the past few years. Join Jennifer Lazewski, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology and Master Gardener Volunteer educator, for a presentation and garden design workshop. Help pollinators thrive with native plants and continuous blooms, and feed birds with the seeds and fruit created by those pollinators. Travel through the seasons from spring to fall, learning about native bees and birds, their annual life cycles, and the native plants that support them.
Limit of 50 participants.
Immediately following the presentation, you are invited to join Jennifer and the DNR staff for a hands-on native garden planning workshop. We will provide a grid and plant templates to help you create your native garden masterpiece. Please bring a Google Earth printout of your yard, along with the desired area's space dimensions, lighting and soil type. We would love to offer suggestions and ideas to help transform your yard into a pollinator paradise!
Please register on the Horicon Marsh website for this FREE workshop.
Meet at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center located at N7725 Highway 28, Horicon, WI 53032.
About The Presenter

She focuses on native plants and gardening for pollinators, birds and other wildlife.
